TBR list 2018
Heyaaa there!
So I don't know how many of you bibliophiles actually do this, but like a mandatory new year's resolution, a Tbr (to be read) pile/list is something very commonly made by book lovers all around the globe. I haven't been making one consciously and to be honest I already have a couple of books I haven't finished yet, but yet, here I'm with a 2018 tbr list.
Now before I list them out, there is a teeny bit problem of books availability in Pakistan. A little side note to all the non-Pakistanis with pre conceived notions of how Pakistan's if they even read ; aren't they all like scheming terrorism plots, and that's what keep them busy ( sorry I don't mean it in any offensive capacity, just hate it when people already have opinions without actually researching about it), yes we read & study, infact Pakistan has a 60% literacy rate according to 2016 survey.
Anyhow, back to the topic. We have a huge number and variety of books and authors available here, both national and international, but not all of them. I still included them in the list, after reading Goodread's reviews, in hopes of getting my hands on them. So here is what the list looks like.
Nine Coaches Waiting by Mary Stewart, Sandra Brown
Invisible Ties by Nadya A.R
The spring girls by Anna todd
Whichwood by Taherah Maafi
The Angel's game by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
Turtles all the way by John Green
A House Without Windows by Nadia Hashimi
Scarlett Undercover by Jennifer Latham
Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
Thorns of Rosewood (Rosewood Series, #1) by G.M. Barlean
Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
10 Things I Can See from Here by Carrie Mac
I will further discuss the books in detail, since I haven't read them yet, that will be coming in the post after the next one. The next post will be listing out all the possible good bookstores, online, where you are able to buy and rent, yes you read it right, I said rent! your favourite books. I hope to cover as many stores as I can, but since I'm based in Karachi and happen to know about the stores here only, so if you happen to know any favourite stores you don't want me to miss, do leave a comment. Well that's it for now, next week InshaAllah.
P.s- Im putting my Instagram Id on the blogpage, where you can check out little bibliophilic snippets too!
