BOOK HAULS

                 BOOK HAULS

Hey you guys! So I just realised, listing out the favourite things, I totally forgot Book hauls. All you book-a-holics here, raise your hands!!!
I simply love book hauls, pure book heaven, it can be from a very organised big bookstore or your secret little known book place that gets you the best bargains. For me, the latter ones are way more better because
a) lesser prices, more bargains means I get to shop more and a bigger collection!!
b) Sometimes you get real treasures amongst those forgotten paperbacks

I have a few interesting book haul ventures but amongst them the one I remember the most is this place in Gulshan-e-Iqbal , inside the alley, right off the main road & they had these huge vacant plots where there were multiple book stalls set up. It was like a book heaven, you guys!
It had both new & used books , Urdu and English both, and there were endless categories.
There were Novels, Autobiographies, Literature,Cookbooks,Art and crafts,Encyclopedias, even some Dictionaries & grammar books. And the best part was that you can exchange the books you had with you, that you already have given a read to and exchange them for the ones being sold. They adjusted the prices accordingly and since we Pakistanis have some amazing bargaining skills, if I say so myself, it was a win-win.
Some of the books you could get as low as for Rs 100 & for 350 max, unless you were buying the encyclopedia or Guinness book of world records earlier editions. This was the time when Twilight series was just out, so quite a couple of years ago, and I remember reading The Host by Stephanie Mayer, when Twilight wasn't having such a hype, and I loved that book and even shared it with my bibliophile friend.

I also had couple of experiences of book hauling from Defence Sunday Bazaar & it was good while it lasted.
Sadly I don't go there anymore since Sunday bazaar isn't there anymore, the place in Gulshan, I don't know if it is there anymore since I haven't visited since so long.

So these were my experiences, and I would love to read yours. So please do share yours and would love your feedback for it and future posts, any suggestions you have, do let me know.
Love, Aisha💜
